Yangjaecheon Stream
Natural Scenery Blooming Along the Waterway
About

A local stream originating from Gwanaksan and Cheonggyesan mountains that flows into Tancheon. Through the 1995 Yangjaecheon parkification project, it was restored as an exemplary natural ecological stream, and in 2015 was designated a Seoul Future Heritage site. The stretch passing through Gangnam-gu spans approximately 3.75 km. The scenery unfolding along the waterway is renowned for its beauty throughout all four seasons. The Cherry Blossom Path, Metasequoia Path, and Street of Fallen Leaves are adorned with seasonal flowers and trees, attracting not only local residents but visitors from across the city. Additionally, observation decks, landscape lighting, mist fountains, and media sapphire installations offer a wellness destination encompassing walking, cycling, ecological experiences, and relaxation.
