Dosan Ahn Chang-ho Memorial Hall

At the Dosan Ahn Chang-ho Memorial within Dosan Park, a large banner first catches the eye: 'Even in death, be free of falsehood. Do not lie even in jest. If you lose sincerity even in dreams, repent deeply.' The memorial vividly portrays the life of Dosan, who dedicated his entire existence to his country and its independence. Spanning approximately 9,000 pyeong of land with one above-ground floor and two basement levels, the exhibition hall displays photographs of family and relatives, his Sinminhoe activities as a young man, his work with the Provisional Government and in China, and remaining artifacts. The memorial also holds an annual 'Dosan Ahn Chang-ho Essay Contest' open to anyone with an interest in history.
