Overcoming COVID-19, the Start of a New Gangnam Festival
The 2022 Gangnam Festival returned as a large-scale in-person event for the first time in three years following the COVID-19 pandemic. Nineteen colorful programs across all of Gangnam fueled the festival's energy. At the opening ceremony "Painting Gangnam", 172 performers including residents and artists staged a show themed around "New Hope Gangnam" and "Gangnam, the K-Culture Hub", closing the night with a new-style group dance "Gangnam Suwol-rae" symbolizing grand harmony.
